There is no doubt that the Fuji Finepix S1800 digital camera is a great camera for both beginners and more experienced users. It has some of the high-end features of an SLR without the big price tag.

This camera is a good choice. It is better than the average pocket size digital camera and a stepping stone away from an SLR. Combining both video and still shots, its versatility is excellent for its price.
Whilst it's larger than a pocket point and shoot camera (mainly because of its 18 x zoom lens) it is still smaller that an SLR. The 18 x zoom lens gives a good range from wide angle to telephoto.
The 3 inch LCD can be switched, at the press of a button, to the old fashioned viewfinder for sunny conditions which hinder an LCD.
The blink and smile detection is a new innovation that adds extra functionality to the S1800.
You certainly get more for your money with the Fuji Finepix S1800.
